POSTION PURPOSE:

We need a dynamic Promotions Coordinator to coordinate the various functions of the promotions department that satisfy listeners and advertiser needs for 104.3 The FAN, 98.5 KYGO, and KOSI 101.1. The right individual will be ambitous, energetic and who possesses organizational skills with the ability to multi-tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Promotion Department with on-air, on-line and on-site promotions. This is an entry-level position that involves assisting with all administrative functions of radio promotions.  Main responsibilities include managing and distributing station prizes and premiums, performing basic office administrative functions; updating station web site, and handling clients and listeners.  This coordinator is also responsible for drafting and coordinating schedules for promotional assistants for on-site events. Occasional responsibilities include:  driving promotional vehicles; setting up and running audio and other types of audio equipment, hanging banners and other staging elements and conducting on-site promotions. This position reports to the Promotions Manager.  

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have clear and concise communication skills & interpersonal skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must have solid organizational skills and have successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously with good follow through.
  • Must be high energy with a positive attitude
  • Strong written and customer service skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Function as a team player and team leader.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Software and Equipment UsedPromoSuite & Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite and the internet. Experience with relevant social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record a must.
  • Able to work a variety of shifts and days, including weekends and evenings.
  • Exceptional organizational & time management skills

 

PREFERED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Ideal candidate will have a knowledge and passion for the broadcasting industry.
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Google Docs, Microsoft and web-based Content Management System for station's website.
  • Proficient in all aspects of social media, including but not limited to: Facebook, Facebook Insights, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
  • Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, pushing, lifting, stooping, kneeling.
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
  • Lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds on occasion.
