Bonneville Denver is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager for KOSI 101.1, Denver's number one Adult Contemporary station and number one with women 25-54. This position will assure monthly, quarterly, and annual established sales goals are met or exceeded, and that KOSI Local Sales makes its full contribution to KOSI Sales and to the successful accomplishment of KOSI's strategic plan, Bonneville International Corporation's Vision, Commitments, and Values. This position is also responsible for building, maintaining, and guiding an effective sales team, as well as to maximize KOSI's inventory and grow revenue by coaching top sales talent to deliver solutions that get results for clients. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver and motivator!



  • Development of local sales revenue goals and determine each Account Executive's annual revenue goals and achieve local revenue budget by assuring each Account Executive reaches budget objectives including spot, digital and event. Maintain a system for tracking Account Executive's progress in meeting established goals.
  • Assure rate integrity and obtain credit approval for all new accounts, and review and approve all contracts.
  • Increase share of business by creating integrated marketing solutions utilizing on air, on line and event assets. Take full ownership of budgets and revenue goals and develop strategies to improve sales year over year
  • Develop and maintain a level of service that is not only superior to that of our competitors, but is perceived  by our clients as being superior.
  • Regularly strive to develop effective relations with buyers and key decision-makers to improve client relations.
  • Develop and maintain an equitable system to review and distribute active and inactive accounts to assure client needs are effectively addressed.
  • Established high standards of professionalism, ethics, integrity, and performance and assure department atmosphere is conducive to sales excellence and fosters disciplined self-improvement of the sales staff.
  • Regularly accompany each Account Executive on sales calls to assess progress of each individual ability to provide the highest standard of service to clients.
  • Recruit, coach, train, and develop an effective sales force at all times. Conduct quarterly performance reviews with all members of the team.
  • Conduct weekly one on one meetings with each Account Executive to review account progress, activity and conduct weekly staff meetings, and attend all applicable meetings.
  • Integrate sales mission statement into all aspects of job performance areas such as sales meetings, presentations, service, training, etc.
  • Participate in the development of annual sales goals, regular forecasting sales performance and creating solutions to a revenue shortfall/gap.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with each member of the sales management team that will foster sales creativity and a unified, team effort. Work closelwith other sales managers and Director of Sales in areas such as inventory management, rate negotiation, presentations, and other day-to-day sales activities.
  • Develop and maintain a new business development program to assist Account Executives in developing leads and new business sales.
  • Work closely with Program Director and Promotions Manager to maximize results for clients.
  • Keep Director of Sales advised of competitive sales information and day to day operations, market conditions, station AE and overall sales revenue performance




  • College degree in business, communications, sales, marketing, related field or equivalent is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in media sales management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of winners in a positive sales environment. Ad agency, direct, digital and event sales knowledge is essential.
  • Highly computer literate in all Microsoft Office products and ideally has experience with Wide Orbit, Marketron and a complete understanding of Nielson Ratings
  • Excellent understanding of effectively pricing and managing inventory
  • Able to manage stress effectively.
  • Proven history of achieving budgets
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and proven ability to safely drive personal vehicle without exposing company to serious liability risks.
  • Possess excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
  • Substantial physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.
  • Lift, move, and carry up to 20 pounds on occasion.
